What is SSD Drive? SSD vs SATA Hard Disk & Advantage of SSD Drive

Written by kuldeep kashyap

Solid State Drive (SSD)

SSD is also called Solid State Drive, SSD is a storage device. It is similar to the hard disk in view,  It uses an integrated circuit as a memory to store data. SSD is made of semiconductors like RAM but it is a permanent storage. In the same way, SSD stores data as well, in the same way that pen drives and memory card stores the data, in a way it can say that SSD is a small form of pen drive.

An SSD does not have a mechanical arm, so an embedded processor, which is also called Controller, is used to read and write data, with the help of a lot of work such that the data is read and written. The controller is used to detect the speed of SSD. Whatever decision this takes, such as store, retrieve, cache and clean up the data, all these things determine the overall speed of the drive. A good controller is the real identity of a good SSD, SSD is plastic or the metal case is encased in the case, it looks like a battery in appearance.

The SSD form factor is similar to a regular hard drive, its standard size is 1.8 “, 2.5”, and 3.5 “size which is easily fit in the housing and connectors.

Features Advantage of Solid State Drive (SSD)

Speed: The most important feature of SSD is that it can write data from HDD with fast speeds. Due to the high speed, its access time is also very low.

Mobility: SSD are lighter than SATA drive. This is very ultra thin device and can be adjusted easily for laptop and desktop pcs.

Low Failure Rate: SSD is best work performance durability and feature of ECC ( Error correcting code) that keep this drive on right direction.

Longer Life Span: There is no moving part or mechanical part inside it. This is why it is long life. When the first SSD first came in the market for the first time, people did not have much faith in it. But now this technology is being used by people with lots of tones. And compared to HDD in the SSD’s longevity is much more.

Physical Shock: It is resistant to physical shock. Even if it shocks or falls down rapidly, it does not get worse.

Difference between SSD and HDD

Speed of SSD is faster than SATA Hard Disk while Hard Disk is much slower than SSD.

If you talk about power,  SSD hard discs can take very little power. SSD is also smaller in size than a normal hard disk, and because the Hard Disk is a mechanical drive that runs through the disk, it also makes a slight noise while SSD is a Flash Storage device with chips in it does not bode at all.

It’s all right but now let’s talk about Why should go for SSD?

Why should go for SSD?

  • If you want to spend more for faster performance of the computer
  • You do not have much concern about storage capacity and you can also work in less. So here for you SSD is the best option.

If we talk about India, then even today, HDD is the most preferred choice because there is a lot of space for reducing the speed, but it is for everyone. They should have all the features in their budget, so that they do not have any problem in adopting HDD compared to SSD.

Nowadays, people can take advantage of the things of both the SSHD (Solid State Hard Drive). Or say yes, it is a combination of both technologies. In which some space is allocated for the operating system and for the rest of your personal storage. There is also a benefit in it that you get very good operating speed, so that you can easily do all your work.

I sincerely hope that I gave you full information about people in HDD vs. SSD and hope you guys have understood about SSD vs. HDD.

It’s all right but now let’s talk about The Right Storage for You

The Right Storage for You

Friends, the answer to this question completely depends on our needs, for which we will use our PC. If you want to make a PC with very good performance then you can go to SSD, but if you want to make a very simple PC which you want to take in your personal use, then you can use Hard Disk very easily and If you say then you can load the SSD of a Limited Size and load it into Operating System.

  • General users: If you do download a lot of file like music and videos then you can prefer SSD drive. It will give you better work experience.
  • Engineering Professional and Graphics user: Photo and video editors can replace their SATA drive and can attach SSD drive. CAD and Graphics users can use the same for better work speed.
  • Multimedia and Deeply down-loader: SSD drive will be helpful for multimedia and for heavy downloaders users. They can use this and will get good performance speed.

Friends, We have the full hope that you may have liked this little information given by us and you have got to know a lot about What is SSD and how SSD works.

We hope you like our Article. If You have any question related  SSD drive and about features and how to install this in your existing PC or Laptop or new Laptop you can comment here or reply me personally on infosystemdeep@gmail.com. I will be happy to answer you.
